InDepth Director, Sarah Goodwin, won the Institute of Business Consulting (IBC) Regional Member of the Year at last Thursday night’s IB Consulting Awards at the Langham Hotel in London. The achievement of this award recognised Sarah’s dynamism and proactive support and interaction with IBC in the East Midlands and the extent that she promotes good practice in business consulting.

Lynda Purser, director of the Institute of Business Consulting, congratulated Sarah and thanked her for contribution to our shared ambition to drive professionalism in business consulting and promote IBC members as preferred suppliers of consulting and advice: “the Institute is delighted to recognise diligence, particularly when individuals like Sarah live and breathe good practice”.

InDepth Consulting continues to make a real difference and have impact with our clients and this has been recognised in the run up to the National Institute of Business Consulting Awards 2009 where founding Director Fiona Murie has been shortlisted for the Management Consultant of the Year Award.

This follows on from a tremendous year and some excellent work Fiona delivered for clients, and in particular Wakefield District Housing. This added real value and reaped great feedback from their CEO Kevin Dodd, senior managers and staff alike

As demand for our Consultancy Skills Training and Qualification programme continues to grow, so does our need for first class, experienced consultants and trainers. We are therefore delighted to announce that David Rigby FIBC, CMC, BSc will be joining our team as an Associate Consultancy Trainer. David is fun, lively, vastly experienced - he is a Fellow of the Institute of Business Consulting and also a Certified Management Consultant. He is a very welcome addition to the InDepth team whom we are sure you will enjoy working with.

We are pleased to announce more dates for our Certificate in Management Consulting Essentials Programme in both the South West Region and the North West Regions.

In The South West we will be using the lovely Leigh House, Leigh Road, Bradford on Avon to deliver the CMCO course. The next two dates with available places are 17, 19-20 March inclusive and 11-13 May inclusive.

In the North West we will be in Golborne, Warrington and the dates for the CMCO courses there are 1 - 3 April inclusive and 1-3 June inclusive.

Our Consultancy Skills Training Programmes Availability for 2009 is now available and include either workshop based, distance learning based or a combination of the two for both the Certificate and Diploma qualifications

Following discussions and feedback with our previous clients we have refined our qualifications programmes to make them even more accessible and relevant for business professionals. We have now created a blended programme that incorporates an element of on line distance learning followed by a three day practical, highly interactive workshop. This allows greater flexibility for delegates to work at their own pace in completing their on line learning and minimises the amount of time spent out of the office. The workshop then combines all of the practical elements of the programme, is great for networking, sharing knowledge and experience as well as time for experimenting with a wide range of tools and techniques.

We are delighted to announce that from September 2008 the Certificate in Management Consulting Essentials (CMCO) and the Diploma in Management Consultancy (DMC) are both available from InDepth via Distance Learning. Both programmes allow for delegates to work at their own pace, with lots of practical tools and techniques that will be of immediate benefit in the work place, whilst being fully supported by a dedicated on line tutor.

We will also support our Distance Learning students with individual coaching sessions with their dedicated tutor and provide on line access to other delegates through our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) from across the world to discuss and share experiences.

InDepth has received formal acknowledgement from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) that we have passed their rigorous and demanding assessment criteria to become an Approved Centre of both the CMI and the Institute of Business Consulting. Accredited to deliver the Certificate in Management Consulting Essentials (CMCE) and the Diploma in Management Consultancy. InDepth is also looking to add a suite of accredited training programmes for the Business Consulting Professional, including the Certificate and Diploma in Business Support.
